THE PRODUCT
Obliquo is a round washbasin made of cast concrete. Designed by Valentino Marengo.
Obliquo introduces a design concept inspired by the functionality of ancient objects, drawing influence from Egyptian pottery dating back to 3450 B.C. The inspiration came from an unusual bowl with supports shaped like human feet. Obliquo represents the design evolution from the organic shapes of ancient times, to a geometric shape characteristic of our modern era.
The beautiful contrast between these two eras undergoes a transformation, evolving from an organic form to a geometric shape that is characteristic of our modern era.
